For Bands:

Each member of the band is separate.  Rehearsals can be cancelled once per semester before 10am (5pm the previous day for Saturday rehearsals) without being charged.  Lessons cancelled after 10am and no shows are charged as a regular lesson.  There are no makeups for band rehearsals, if you miss more than one you will be charged.   Rehearsal is always on as long as there are at least two members.  I teach through all public and private school vacations, holidays and snow days unless I notify you, however you will not be charged if you are away or can’t make it as long as you let me know in advance.  No shows on vacation days or snow days are charged as a regular lesson.  I never charge for lessons that I have to miss.  Bands require a one school year commitment.  If you stop rehearsals mid school year you will be charged the regular rate until the spot is filled.  I reserve the right to stop teaching a band or individual student mid school year for any reason.  If I do I will issue a refund for the balance of the year.

Cell phone and other electronics policy:

Cell phones and other electronics (apple watches, fitbits, etc.)  should be kept in the box by the door.  Any electronic use in the studio by students without asking permission will result in me keeping the item for a week or the price of the lesson is doubled, student’s choice.  If the student chooses to double the price of the lesson you will be notified via email.

End of  Year Show Policy:

The shows at the end of the school year are for every band that is trying their best in rehearsal regardless of ability or experience.  Bands that are not taking rehearsals seriously or not trying their best may not be placed in a show.

Neighborhood Impact:

Thanks for your help in minimizing the impact of my teaching on the surrounding neighborhood.  Please don’t ever block the street at drop-off or pickup.  Please don’t idle your car if you choose to wait in it.  Students should walk quietly to the studio door, not run and shout.  Students should wait inside the studio if they are early or you are late picking them up, never outside.  Thanks!

Late Payment Policy:

Any payment more than 30 days overdue is subject to a weekly $25 fee.

For private students:
